Welcome to my blog! I want to share what I've been up to lately. The image above, which is the wraparound cover for Scrappy Jack a book I wrote and illustrated. It's a biography of my dad, who had plenty of stories to tell and he lived to be 100 years old. The original version called "So, That's That!"was given to him on his 100th birthday many years ago. That's me and my brother, dad, and two sisters in the junkyard where I grew up. The best playground any kid could ask for!
I'm planning on having a table with this book and my Graphic Novel for sale at VanCaf this May, if all goes well...
I'm so pleased Andrew has followed in his grandfather (Marshal Mcluhan) and fathers (Eric Mcluhan) footsteps. I've been auditing Andrew's online class over the last year. He has a way of bringing Understanding Media to life! If there're any Mcluhan geeks out there I encourage you to find out more.
I've been studying Mcluhan for over forty years and it's a gift that keeps on giving.

One of the most enjoyable things I did this year during the pandemic was to take a 12 week virtual class with Andrew McLuhan. Above is a certificate from Grey Area who is based in San Francisco, they're an online virtual classroom. I hope you'll check out their site. Andrew McLuhan will be giving a second and third class on Marshall McLuhan's Understanding Media book, starting sometime in March. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the effects of technology on our culture.
Because Vancouver Comic Arts Festival was canceled due to CVID, Deni Loubert interviewed me virtually!
