This place in Hamilton was a weird find... Mr. Used is on Barton St. it's a huge warehouse with this  stuff, junk, you name it. The guy that owns it was a horder / collector of all sorts. The building was sold and all the contents have to be sold off - no easy task!

Well, I'm back from Ontario and I'm feeling rather guilty for not posting for so long. Being on the road is great socially and I just love to soak up the Ontario humidity but now that I'm home, I've got gardening to catch up on. So for now I'll be posting a few random pictures I took while  back east. This one was at the Hamilton Art Gallery... Every year I go back to this instulation piece and every year it grows bigger and bigger - pop culture at it's finest!!

IT'S KEN AND MY 35TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TODAY!!!

This was a coach house way back before it was eventually turned into the Centre at the University of Toronto.
No signs or plaques were there to indicate what a significant place it was. So typical of how McLuhan was treated at U of T when he was at the hight of his notoriety. "A prophet is never heard in his own time"....
Here's me in Toronto under the sign Marshall McLuhan Way.  St Joseph st. leads to what use to be the  Centre for  Culture and Technology, the building was featured in my book where I sat in on talks  McLuhan gave in the late 70s, just before he had a stroke that left him unable to speak.

These are the last two random pages from my second book series I'll be posting. Although I do intend on posting the entire  book in its proper order and with all the word balloons, later... I hope I can put it all together soon but until then I'll still be posting photos of my summer occasionally.
Anyway... the page above is of Harlan Ellison's wonderland (my interpretation of it). I had the pleasure of exploring this part of his home; the hobbit door was really cute...made me feel like Alice in wonderland!

I'll end with this page...sometimes Ken really pissed me off and I let him know it!!!

Hello there!

I'm on the road once again, so my blogs may be sporadic at times. I've been neglect lately - my bad!!! Anyway... Ken  and I were at TCAF last weekend - wow! it's getting bigger every year. Karen Gillmore came with us, she's one of our most amazing students that we've had the pleasure of teaching for the last two years. Karen's has a blog about the process in the making of her comic, it's really worth a look.  She has also posted about our weekend - check it out... Great job Karen! Ken and Karen at the Royal Ontario Museum.
