Ken and I got married June 16th. the same year I graduated from Ontario College of  Art in 1979. We decided to hire a minister and have the ceremony in our friend Silvia's back yard ( she was instrumental in getting us together at Sheridan College). My Dad played the saw which was a wonderful  touch to that day, we also  catered the event ourselves. On a starving artist budget we  managed to have a great time.

Raising children and  finding the time to follow my own interest, while taking night classes, was tiring. I never lost my interest in  McLuhan books and what he was getting at. The clash that TV had on book culture was fascinating to me then and still is on a grander scale today, especially  with all the technologies we have today.
I don't usually give up on things, I'm a bit tenacious that way but I couldn't bare to go back to that French  class.  Although I did manage to finish grades 9, 10,  11, 12 and 13 English, while having Alex and Raymond.

Sculpting was a bit of a departure for me in the early 80's, I felt my drawing skills were not good enough for main stream illustration or comics at the time. But when I started seeing more and more 3D illustrations in magazines I decided t o see what I could come up with. Ironically I never studied sculpture in art college but really liked working with oil based clay, so that's what I focus on for many years.
